Overview

Unexpected Cloud Reflection

In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean between Spain and the Canaries the sea was so calm that neither groundswell nor wind generated surface waves could be recognized. Thereby Cumulus humilis and Cumulus castellanus clouds (see also chapter Cumulus castellanus) occurring in the bottom level were reflected at the sea surface. The image was taken from an altitude of approximately 11 km.
